Higher power and faster operation: WAGO's new 221 Series COMPACT Splicing Connectors

Easier, faster, safer: These three attributes characterize WAGO's 221 Series Splicing Connectors. WAGO's 221 Series now offers a model for conductors up to 10 AWG ( 6 mm2). Previously, stranded or fine-stranded conductors up to 12 AWG (4 mm2) were connected with WAGO's 221 Series Splicing Connectors.

However, there are more and more building installations where 12 AWG is not enough anymore.

WAGO's New Splicing Connectors Bring the Following Advantages to High-Powered Applications:

  • Faster installation of devices with higher levels of power consumption

  • Time-saving and safer installation of long cable runs with larger conductor cross-sections

  • Creation of new applications for electrical appliance manufacturers

Ease of Installation for a New Performance Standard

As with other 221 Series models, installation with WAGO’s new 10 AWG (6 mm2) splicing connectors is simple. Stripped conductors are pushed into the connector until they hit the backstop after opening the clamp with an orange lever. The conductor is securely connected after closing the lever, while the transparent housing enables visual inspection of the connection. OEMs benefit from the new connector that offers options for easy, fast and safe wiring of high-power lighting and signal systems, or HVAC systems within commercial buildings.

WAGO's new 221 Series 10 AWG variant is available now.
