The basis for our success: our employees

Without committed employees, we would not be able to grow and bring innovation to market.

Our concern is therefore that our employees feel connected to WAGO and act responsibly. We work sustainably on the necessary conditions - every day!

Important for us:

  • social standards
  • diversity
  • Occupational safety and health
  • Lifelong learning

Keep up: the social standards

To ensure this, we follow the standards of international associations in the electrical industry such as EICC and ZVEI e. V. These standards are combined with our own internal Code of Conduct as well as the core labor standards of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the principles of the Human Rights Charter. Additionally, since 2012, we have been a member of the "UN Global Compacts", an international multi-stakeholder initiative with ten principles of good corporate governance.

Advantage: diversity

We see a diverse workforce as an opportunity. One approach we take is through the promotion of women in technical professions via mentoring programs and targeted events. These initiatives have formed a cross-thematic WAGO women's network for ambitious professional and management women. Since 2017, we have been signatories of the "Diversity Charter".

It is our belief that all our employees should receive appreciation - regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity.

Promote: Occupational safety and health

WAGO products stand for high quality and operator safety. We assure that our workplace is also as safe as possible for our employees. For this reason, we have introduced a management system for our occupational safety and health policy, which is based on the OHSAS 18001 standard. In addition, our occupational health management also offers a diverse range of activities for health promotion and maintenance of our employees.

Enable: lifelong learning

Through vocational training, study and employee qualification programs across all levels, we give our employees the opportunity to exploit their potential and develop their skills. This promotes sustained motivation and makes WAGO attractive to new employees. The WAGO Foundation, founded in 1998, also promotes particularly successful apprentices in nine different job profiles.
