Rated currents can be set separately for each channel in 1A increments. In the event of an overcurrent, the affected channel will be shut down safely and reset in accordance with a memorized protection characteristic. The 787-861 Circuit Breaker provides active short-circuit current limitation to 1.5 times its rated current, preventing a voltage drop to affect other current paths in the event of a short circuit in one current path. The tripping time taken to shut down a current path can be configured. Once a channel has been shut down, it can be reactivated either via the keys on the device or remotely through the control input of the 787-860 or 787-862 Circuit Breakers.
