Compact and Cost Effective Power Measurement in the PLC or distributed I/O node
Implementing power measurement initiatives as part of your machine, process, or building has always been expensive and time consuming. Typical implementations include a stand-alone system costing thousands of dollars, as well as additional networking to the existing control system (PLC or PC), separate power feeds and mounting requirements.
Understanding this dilemma, as well as the need to implement power measurement to help reduce business costs, WAGO developed the 750-493 Series 3-Phase Power Measurement Module for the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM. Being 100% compatible with all WAGO bus-couplers (except ECO), controllers, and I/O modules, the 750-493 offers the ability to implement power measurement directly in the PLC or distributed I/O node. The resulting is a cost effective power measurement system that can be networked to more than 16 industrial protocols, including Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, and DeviceNet (More information).
750-493 Power Measurement Module
At just 12mm wide, the 750-493 operates as a six-channel analog input module with 3 channels dedicated to voltage and 3 channels to current. Voltage and current values are measured to compute power network analysis such as effective power, energy consumption, and power factor. Both 1 and 5-amp versions are available to accommodate standard CT signal types. Click below for more information:
Accessories for Power Measurement Applications:
759-333 WAGO-I/O-PRO CAA
Using WAGO’s programming software, you can create screens to monitor line power characteristics and even view them remotely using and Internet browser (with WAGO Ethernet based controllers). More information.
750-475 Analog Input Differential Module
At just 12mm wide, it operates as a two-channel analog input module with both channels dedicated to measuring current. It is available standard in a 0-1 amp version. For 0-5 amps, an extension 020-000 must be added to the part number. Click below for more information.
282 Series Transformer Disconnects
282 Series transformer disconnect terminal blocks serve to safely remove the CT from the power measurement module and short-circuit the transformer. Two versions are a available with a full line of accessories to accommodate your application, click for Longitudinal Disconnect or Lateral Disconnect.
285 Series POWER CLAMP
285 Series POWER CLAMP terminal blocks serve to safely and easily terminate conducts from 4/0 to 4 AWG (600V/200A). A full line of accessories such as power taps, jumpers, and warning covers round out the application. More
