PROFIsafe Module

The WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 integrates SAFETY functionality as per industrial standard! This means, safety applications up to Cat. 4 as per EN 954-1 and SIL 3, respectively, corresponding to the principle standards IEC 61508 and AK 6 (DIN V 19250) can be realized.

Benefits:

  • The same input module allows the connection of emergency-off switches, protection door switches, two-hand control device, mode selectors as well as other hardware based safe sensors.
  • All inputs of a terminal are monitored for cross-connection. This enables the sensors to be combined within one cable. The output terminal can operate outputs with stop categories 0 or 1. Outputs too are tested continuously for cross-connection.
  • The power switch module offers the possibility to switch off various 24V output modules (up to safety category 3) that shall be combined in one safety area. Status, configuration and diagnostics are available in every module.
  • All safety modules are connected to the master station via the PROFIsafe protocol. The master station takes care of initialization, setting parameters and assignment.
 
 

PROFIsafe safety modules

The WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 PROFIsafe modules are binary inputs and outputs as per IEC 61508 for the application on the PROFIBUS with PROFIsafe and they can be utilized without major modifications on the existing system of Series 750.
