Condition Monitoring via Fieldbus
A new WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 speciality module enables vibration measurements to be analysed and wear on bearings or similar parts to be diagnosed. Vibration measurements are used for monitoring wear condition of machines so that damage can be prevented. The Prüftechnik Condition Monitoring GmbH has specialised in vibration monitoring. Prüftechnik sensors are directly connected to the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 speciality module. The vibration behaviour of a machine component is recorded by the piezo film sensor and directly analysed in the WAGO I/O module. If the vibration signal exceeds an upper limit as specified for example in the DIN ISO 10816-3 standard, the module generates a warning signal. This way, the protection of the machine can be seamlessly and conveniently integrated into the automation environment of the user.
Condition-based maintenance is one of the most cost-effective maintenance strategies since the machines need only be repaired when required. The module will be produced in the fourth quarter of 2005.
