Stepper Motor Control in the Fieldbus Node
Powerful and highly functional stepper controllers integrated into the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750. From the third quarter 2005, a new range of I/O modules will include stepper controllers. Two very compact 12mm wide modules will be available with RS 422 interface for the control of external power amplifiers or with integrated power amplifier (24V, 1.5A) for smaller drives. Two 48mm wide versions are designed for higher powers (up to 70V, 7.5A) including a module with feedback signal input for position transmitter and servo functionality.
All modules provide absolute and relative positioning, the changing of set values during operation, self-referencing and other functionalities.
Position commands can be stored in tables and can be executed in a cyclic or an event-driven manner using a step function. The inputs can be configured, i.e. functions can be assigned to them in an application specific manner. Different acceleration ramps allow for material-saving and jerk-free movements. They also provide an acceleration control as a function of time, distance and number of steps. All modules of the product range have standardized user interfaces, so that the user can easily change from one module to the other.
