Stepper Control in the I/O Node
Germantown, WI - WAGO Corporation announces the addition of two new motion control modules for the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM family of products. Designated the 750-670 and the 750-671, the modules provide stepper motor control of 2-phase stepper motors, or stepper drives via pulse/direction interface."Integrating stepper motor control into the fieldbus node eliminates the need for stand-alone stepper controllers," said Mark DeCramer, Product Manager of the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM. "This allows for one software platform for both motion and logic control requirements thereby simplifying application development, trouble shooting, as well as reducing overall installation costs."
The 750-670 provides universal pulse and direction output signals (RS422, 24VDC or 20mA) to stepper drives from various manufacturers. While the 750-671 features an embedded driver for stepper motors up to 1.5A at 24VDC. Both modules feature: a compact, 12mm wide, DIN rail mount housing; 100 percent compatibility with all other 750 and 753 Series bus-couplers, controllers, and I/O modules; quick implementation via a function block; two configurable digital inputs; LED status indication; adjustable acceleration profiles; as well as support for common stepper modes like positioning, referencing, jog/inch, profile sequencing, etc.
