Senior Sales & Applications Engineer Dallas, Texas TerritoryWAGO Corporation is seeking an individual to support WAGOs industrial control products including Fieldbus, I/O, Controllers and other products. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong technical background in PLC or PC based control systems. Education and/or Experience
BSEE or higher, plus experience in sales and marketing of advanced electronic devices defined as: PLC, PC control systems, factory and machine control systems with a good understanding of automation software.
Proficient with a computer and Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Extensive travel within territory.
Ideal Candidate will reside in Dallas, Texas.
Must be able to travel via airplane.
Must have a valid drivers license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs (sample, demos, literature).
Must be able to travel overnight 0-30% as dictated by assigned territory.
Travel to corporate headquarters and areas outside of territory will also be required on a periodic basis.
Responsible for keeping WAGO personnel, customers and distributors up to date on technical application information related to WAGO electronic products.
Perform support and training that enables efficient application of WAGO I/O and electronic products. Support and training of distributor application engineers, distributor sales personnel, system integrators, customers, prospects, WAGO employees.
Assist in preparation and presentation of technical training meetings at authorized distributors, system integrators and customer sites.
Supply engineering support for the WAGO I/O System by ensuring that other control system component suppliers understand the proper application of WAGO products.
Provide technical applications support of customers, distributors, system integrators and WAGO Regional and Zone Managers.
Provide timely scheduling activity, expense and call reporting to management and WAGO Corporate.
Marketing Program & Sales Support
Provide technical sales support of trade shows and conferences.
Participate in technical organizations to keep WAGO up-to-date on industry developments as directed.(Example: ODVA)
Assist in implementation of marketing programs, promotional activities and other sales-related activities as directed.
Participate in selling situations, including sales calls, shows and events to describe and demonstrate WAGO products as directed.
Consider target industries for WAGOs I/O products and make recommendations with market and opportunity rational.
Maintain knowledge of WAGO products and solutions and report on competition and market trends.
Work with Sales and Marketing to develop and maintain competitive matrix.
Collect and retain, in a structured manner, incoming enhancement requests.
