Systems Support Engineer
WAGO Corporation is seeking an individual to manage, administer and support all areas of the company's IT environment including servers, local and wide-area networks, phone system, local workstations/notebooks and remote connections. This position is a key technical leadership role, developing and leading management in technical advances of the infrastructure and network end points. This engineer must have the experience and aptitude to analyze a variety of hardware and software situations, identify the root cause and implement the appropriate solution. Experience Required:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business; Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications are a big plus
•Requires 3 - 5 years of product and customer technical support experience
•Full knowledge of servers, switches, routers, and various network services and administration (LAN/WAN)
•Knowledge in Cisco Networking technologies (VPN, VoIP Gateway, Unified Messaging, Carrier Circuits -analog and digital)
•Experience in Network Architecture and Design, Capacity Management, Defining Operating Standards, and Network Performance Monitoring
•Experience working in many of the following areas: Windows 7/XP; Windows 2008/2003 Server; Exchange 2010/2007/2003; VMWare; SQL 2008/2005/2000; Office 2010/2007/2003; Symantec Backup Exec; UPS Back-Up Systems; Cisco ASA;Android/iPhone/Blackberry support; SAN solutions; Citrix Administration
•Able to act as a technical subject matter expert for escalations involving network services and devices; Good planning and problem solving skills
•Proficient PC skills for configuration, testing, troubleshooting, etc.
•MUST possess high quality customer service, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to speak with all levels of users
•Must work well independently as well as be an engaging member of a team
•Needs to be able to effectively manage time and be focused on assignments
•Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities
